How do you match a caregiver to our family member?
We take time to understand the senior's personality, daily routines, care needs, and interests before any match is made. We then introduce a caregiver whose background and temperament align with that profile. Families are encouraged to speak with the caregiver before care begins, and we welcome feedback at every stage.
What qualifications do your caregivers hold?
All Skyhollow caregivers have completed a structured training programme covering personal care, dementia awareness, safe mobility assistance, and emergency response. Many hold relevant vocational certificates. Every caregiver undergoes background screening and an in-person assessment before joining our team.
How quickly can care begin after we contact you?
For housekeeping and outdoor activity visits, we typically arrange a start within five to seven business days. The Complete Residential Care Package involves a more thorough matching and orientation process, which usually takes one to two weeks. If your situation is more urgent, please let us know — we will do our best to move faster.
Can the service schedule change as needs shift?
Yes. We expect that care requirements will evolve, and we build our arrangements to adapt. Families can increase visit frequency, add service elements, or transition to the full residential package when the time feels right. Our team holds regular reviews to make sure the care in place still matches reality.
What happens if our regular caregiver is unavailable?
We maintain a trained backup roster so that planned days off and unplanned absences do not leave your family member without support. For residential placements, a backup caregiver familiar with the senior's routines is designated from the start of care.
How is the family kept informed about daily care?
Caregivers complete simple written records after each visit or shift, covering the day's activities, meals, mood, and any observations worth noting. Families receive regular summaries and are always welcome to call or message us directly. Residential care families participate in formal quarterly reviews.
